The third preparatory seminar for the fifth Owada Chair was held from 17:00 to 18:30 on Friday, 10 October 2025.
In this seminar, Professor Hisashi Owada first explained the aim of the Owada Chair and the process of establishing the International Criminal Court (ICC). He also explained the differences between other international tribunals and the ICC, as well as the potentially diverse concept of justice. Following the discussion involved Dr. Natsuki Katayama of Tsuru University, Owada Chair #5 students and faculty members discussed the concept of justice, potentials and limitations of international tribunals in English.
